The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased).”

Does this apply to daughters as well, or just a pious son?
As with most Ayah’s & Hadith that refer to men in general, it also includes women in the same sense.
So in this case, yes it would include daughters as well, and maybe a better translation would be a righteous child as opposed to a righteous son.
